A stunning double and easily resolved. Star A is a magnitude 2.2 orange giant but looked yellow to me and the magnitude 4.8 companion looked emerald green but at 104x looked blue-purple and at 288x looked deep blue.
Groombridge 34
A pair of magnitude 8.1 and 10.9 stars and a noted red dwarf binary system about 11.7 light years away. The system has a large proper motion of 2.89" annually and visually the two stars were easily split and the red colour of the primary star was very evident.
