Two bright equal magnitude 4.8 white stars and easily separated at 144x in the 22cm scope and it is plain why the system is called the cats eyes! The two stars have a separation of 7.8"
Lambda
An attractive double of magnitudes 4.8 and 7.2. The primary was a very pale yellow while the companion was a shade of purple/red, possibly a port colour! The system at a separation of 37.4" was easily resolved in the 22cm scope and indeed easily seen in binoculars.
