Visible as a small fuzzy patch at low power which turns into a moderately large nebula at high powers revealing three faint stars within the nebula itself and careful viewing showed a fourth very faint star NE of the main group.
M37 - 8.75 inch reflector
Quite a difficult sketch because of the number of stars. There is a prominent magnitude 9.2 yellow star at the centre of the cluster, nice as all other stars looked white.
IC 2419 - 8.75 inch reflector
Easily visible as a moderately bright star in a rich starfield at low power and identification was confirmed by blinking with an OIII filter. At 288x it appeared as a small elliptical disk with slightly fuzzy edges It also had a very bright centre surrounded by a fainter bluish outer halo, the central star of magnitude 11.6 was possibly seen
M38 - 8.75 inch reflector
A moderately large cluster nearly filling the 55' field of view.
M36- 8.75 inch reflector
Anice cluster but a bit scattered consisting of several dozen stars about 20-25' across.
NGC1907 - 8.75 inch reflector
Easy to find in the same low power field as M38 and low powers show a distinctly circular nebulous glow with faint stellarings peppered across it. It resolves at 144x but still had that appearance of nebulosity and using a power of 288x I made a star count of 15 stars.
