At 144x M13 is a large and bright ball of stars densely populated at its core and around the sides of this fabulous globular cluster, long arms was seen three forming a Y shape at its South West, South East and Northern sides. Between these arms notable dark wedges could be seen. The core of M 13 was very bright with stars fully resolved across it giving a three-dimensional look to this beautiful object
NGC 6210 - 8.75 inch reflector
At low power the subject was seen as a bright blue Star and it blinks well with an OIII filter but filters were not needed for the observation. Using a high power it was seen as a circular nebula possibly slightly elongated in an East, West direction, the edges of the object were very ill-defined and the brightness of the nebula grew very suddenly to a very bright nucleus. The central star of magnitude 12.9 was suspected and I also suspected faint diffuse outer halo encircling the nebula.
M92 - 10 inch Newtonian and Watec
The other bright globular pretty much overshadowed my M13 but never the less just as impressive as its big brother with the watec. There were several much brighter superimposed stars over the cluster giving a sense of depth while the fainter members were pretty minute fading into stardust. I also saw some short stumpy radiating arms around the cluster.
M 92 - 8.75 inch reflector
At 204x magnification M 92 is a very bright ball of stars blazing at its centre and looking strongly mottled but with some stars emerging from the glow. Just after the core the stars appeared to be in clumps especially on the NNW side while the N side had a small circlet of stars. The edges of M92 were Irregular in shape with some arms on the SW, S and SE sides and some stars were moderately bright especially on its SSW and S sides.
NGC 6058 - 8.75 inch reflector
This object was very easy to star hop to despite its small size and once located at a low-power looked like a very faint and very small patch of fuzz, it had a very low surface brightness but even at low power I could make out that it was circular in shape within a triangle of eighth magnitude stars. At 204x magnification the nebula had a diffuse edges and very gradually brightened to a discernible core and I estimated the nebula to be around one arc minute in diameter. No colour could be seen in NGC 6058 despite been a planetary nebula it just looked grey, perhaps due to its low surface brightness and the central star was easily seen even at relatively low powers and this surprised me as the central star is visual magnitude 13.8. Using nebula filters made the nebula only slightly brighter making its circular shape easy to see but no other detail became visible.
NGC 6229 - 10 inch Newtonian and Watec
This is only a small globular 4.5 arcmin across but had a very bright nucleus which looked unresolved but two bright stars were prominent at the NNE and Southern sides. It looked slightly elongated N-S and seemed to have more mass on its western side where some brighter stars were seen. The rest of the cluster members were minute , more like stardust. Two magnitude 8.4 and 8.9 stars were seen just to the west of the globular and a magnitude 12 star was seen about two cluster diameters to the North.
